What does Aviva Car Insurance cover?

aviva car insurance

Our car insurance covers you against the cost of accidents and damage. You can choose from our comprehensive or third party, fire and theft insurance. We also cover electric and hybrid vehicles.

The minimum type of car insurance you need to drive in the UK is ‘third party’ and our Third Party, Fire and Theft insurance covers more than this basic level. Our ‘comprehensive’ level also covers damage to your vehicle. It’s worth checking your price for comprehensive insurance – ‘third party, fire and theft’ and ‘third party’ cover aren’t always cheaper.

Uninsured driver promise

If your vehicle is involved in an accident caused by an uninsured motorist, we’ll refund any excess you’ve paid.1

Transport after an accident

If your car isn’t safe to drive, we’ll get you home, or to your destination and get your car to an approved repairer. 2

Guarantee on repairs

Following a claim, we guarantee the quality of the repairs made by our approved repairers. 3

You can also add additional cars to your policy with our Multi Car cover as well as optional add-ons like protected no claim discount, breakdown cover and courtesy car.
